Edinburgh Fringey

August is a month where the everyone raves about Edinburgh fringe, and i have never actually been! Usually i just catch up on the highlights but this year why not give it a go.. i had a jampacked time and saw the science of sex at the underbelly, the odd chuckle but i was expecting something well maybe a little more scientific and seedy? We then trotted on to see aussie bird Felicity ward’s The book of Moron at the Gilded Balloon. This was good. Very funny. Especially when mid-story she casually hoisted her leg up onto a chair and impersonated a cat licking its crotch. My kind of humour. Her moron stories were entertaining, she was the brunt of all of her jokes. I could relate.

The third show – So you think youre funny. 3 comedians and quite a funny compare who unfortunately picked up on my horrendously loud sneeze (for a midget) stopped in his track and confronted me and my sneeze. For the first time in my life, i didn’t get away with it. Was it a secret sneeze – or a disguised heckle? Hmmm.

Now, Late n Live is a late night show at the fringe which starts at 1am and lasts till 4pm. Comedians were amazingly entertaining and my highlight had to be irish band/comedians - Abandoman. They take whats in your pocket – literally anything in your pocket (invluding hand gels and marmite if you were to carry them) spit out some hilariously witty lyrical freestyle. Good skills, which were even more impressive when they invited comedians onto the stage to tell a story and they spat out some insane lyrics back, just as you do. No show of theirs is ever the same. Check out 'whats in your pocket' and please excused the camera skills i was rather overexcited.
