Bees Wonderful Beeeees....

Okay, we all love a good bumble-bee or even a lovely honey-bee.... they are highly intelligent, provide amazingly delicious juice and they're a litle bit fesity and stingy. This summer I had the joy of spinning-out honey from frames which live in bee houses, a.k.a beehives. This was really really exciting but the really satisfying stuff was making lipbalm - erm yes lipbalm and handcream - MENTAL!

1. Ensure you have a mate at hand who like you knows bugger all about bees:

You inspect the frames using the smoker to keep bees at bay:

Place the frames into the spinner, the fun part is spinning!

The honey collects in the spinner - was actually quite a bit:
